I highly recommend Allan Schenk Safaris as the outfitter to use when planning a hunting safari to Africa. Allan Schenk, the owner and Professional Hunter/Guide, can put together a package for youth at you are sure to achieve. His access to over a quarter million acres of hunting property assures that you can harvest the animals in your chosen package. His tracking and stalking skills puts you on your target without fail as he points out the best and yet oldest warrior in the herd to harvest. He seems to have a sixth sense when it comes to locating a trophy. He selects the oldest animal, making room for the young bucks, so that the species can continue to grow and breed quality animals. He has the conservation of all species as his first order of business.
You want to record your hunt? Well,Allan works with two true photographic professionals that will record you from the moment of sighting the animal until the actual take down. They can provide still shots, video and even footage taken by a drone.
Of some importance to me was my age. My hunt was in celebration of my 77th birthday, a gift from my son, David, who selected a six animal package for this trip, his third to SouthAfrica. I was concerned that I'd be a hindrance to my son's hunt. Not so. Allan made sure that I was comfortable and continued to ask me ifI was "OK". He'd slow the pace so I could keep up and always seemed to find the easiest route up the mountain side. Yet, my son collected all the animals in his selected package---plus one.

Allan's headquarters is also the lodge we quartered in for seven days. It was built in 1949 and has been updated, remodelled and improved several times. His staff prepared meals of wild game taken from the areas hunted by his clients. Always delicious. His entire staff was always courteous and respectful, willing to accommodate us in any way.
I can truly say that this safari ranks as one of the top highlights of my life. It was exhilarating, exciting, and excellent in all areas. It exceeded all expectations and was made doubly so since I did it with my son.
As I said, I highly recommend Allan Schenk Safaris as the go man to for hunting in Africa---no question.
